the "BOHEMIAN" soul

I have always been intrigued by the word "Boho". Even as a teenager, I loved those boho chic looks that I saw at fashion magazines. But I never really understood what makes this look so attractive and pretty. First I thought that it's all about wearing florals and being very girly. As I grew up, my bohemian definition changed to being dressed up as a gypsy, with those printed maxi skirt and beach wavy hairstyles.

I still don't know the exact meaning of boho look, but I am still intrigued and in love with this style. What I feel is that it's a combination of what I used to think over the years and it cannot be defined into words- yes it looks girly, yes florals are involved, yes it has a gypsy touch to it. Basically bohemian look is all about being artistic and unconventional in your style. Play with colors and prints and wear what you feel close to. This whole look is about not being so polished and being your natural self. Being an Indian, bohemian look comes very natural to us. Why? Coz one important thing I feel about this look is that it's all about mixing two cultures and creating looks that come from two different roots. And we Indians love to wear western outfits but still want those Indian motifs and prints.

So, with my observation and creativity, I have created a boho look.
The first thing I took for this look, was this black and white blouse, which I had actually worn for my College farewell. I have styled this blouse as a crop top. I choose this blouse because of its print and also because the pattern of this blouse is very chic & western.

Next thing I took were these white palazzo pants. It is actually a two-piece set from All About You. The pants come with suspenders and I just wrapped them around my waist. The result looked quite pretty and, yes, very boho. I completed this look with a black and white block heels from Catwalk and a white feather headband. I have not styled my hair at all for this look and kept it in its natural texture. To add it all, I am wearing these silver midi rings set, which you guys can buy from Desi Charm.

I hope you guys liked this whole look. Let me know in the comment section below, what is boho for you? Do let me know your views about this whole look.

Keep it chic!
